Your Mind Keeps Working After You Clock Out
Nobody at work would guess anything is off.
You hit the deadline, answer every message, and say “sounds good” in the meeting.
Then you get home, and your mind picks up a second shift. It drafts tomorrow’s emails while you cook dinner and reruns today’s meeting while you try to watch a show.
More and more, the question in your head is, “How can I make it through today?”
Pushing Through Each Day Has a Price
Pushing through works, for a while.
Then the cost leaks out somewhere else: a short fuse at home, a vacation spent checking email, a sense that your job gets all of you and everyone else gets what’s left.
Whether you call it burnout or high-functioning anxiety, it’s a real reason to come in, even if you’re still getting it all done.
When was the last time your evening actually belonged to you?

Bring Your Work Stress and Whatever Sits Under It
Work is a common starting point, but everybody’s different, so we follow what you bring:
- Anxiety, including high-functioning anxiety, social anxiety and panic attacks
- Workplace burnout and the pressure of daily demands
- Trauma, from a single event or from years of hard relationships
- Life transitions like a career change, a breakup or a move
- Boundaries, self-esteem and relationship patterns you’re ready to break
Something else going on? Ask me on the call.
For panic attacks and trauma, our work includes EMDR when it fits. I’m EMDR trained, with special training in EMDR for panic attacks, and my EMDR page goes deeper.
Get a Counselor Who Keeps It Practical
My main approach is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
Say a friend’s short text sent your mood sideways for the whole afternoon.
In session, we slow that afternoon down and look at what you decided the text meant about you.
Then we try out a different read on it, and a different response.
You Have a Say in Every Session
I believe therapy is a collaborative partnership.
When older experiences come up, we only go into them when you say so.
Journaling between sessions lets you catch moments like that text on your own time.
I don’t know if this sets me apart, but I want you walking out of each session with something you can use the next morning.

Get Your Evenings Back
When work asks a lot of you, you’ll have a plan for the tough moments, and your mind will get to rest once the day is over.
The people you love will get more than what’s left.
You’ll feel more in control, more capable, and like yourself again.
How long that takes depends on the person.
Start With One Short Phone Call
1. A free 15-minute phone consultation. It’s a low-pressure call to see if we’re a good fit.
2. An intake session. We’ll go over your background, what’s happening now, and your goals.
3. Regular sessions. Each one runs 60 minutes, weekly or every other week.
Sessions happen in person in Frisco and Plano, or online anywhere in Texas.
I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Aetna and EAP programs.
If I’m out of network for you, I’ll provide a monthly superbill you can submit for possible reimbursement.

You Can Come Back Without Starting Over
You finish, and you can still write to me. If something new shows up down the road, I’d rather hear from you again than have you start from the beginning somewhere else.
I mean that as a standing arrangement rather than a nice line to end on.
When a message lands in my inbox, I’m the one who reads it. I’ll write back and ask what’s going on and what you’d want to be different. Writing that first message is the hard part, and it doesn’t have to be a good one.
